The Sustainable Green Environment (SGE) Initiative has partnered with the Water Corporation of Oyo State to revive the Asejire Waterworks system, a move that would ensure provision of consistent, clean and potable water to no less than 3.3 million households in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital.

The collaboration which also involves acclaimed international water engineering company, Source2Source Inc, “promises a groundbreaking solution: the use of natural wetlands and biofiltration systems to purify water.

“This innovative, low-maintenance approach leverages the power of nature to enhance water quality, control flooding, and ensure a steady water supply for generations to come.

Chairman of the Water Corporation of Oyo State, Mr Elias Adeojo

Meanwhile, The Co-Founder of Source2Source, Cory Albers shared his enthusiasm for the project’s potential: “We’re proposing a complementary supply network that connects with natural sources.
