
The ousted President of Gabon, Ali Bongo and two of his sons are currently on hunger strike to protest against their alleged subjection to acts of torture and barbarity.
Bongo was ousted in August last year, shortly after he won a disputed presidential poll, placed on house arrest along with two of his sons, Jalil and Bilal.
The junta led by Gen Brice Oligui Nguema also imprisoned Bongo’s wife, Sylvia and Noureddin who was was allegedly tortured and electrocuted with a taser while awaiting a corruption trial.
In a statement the Bongo Family lawyers said they had filed a complaint with the Paris judicial court ahead of Nguema’s visit to France.
