An Abuja Federal High Court has adjourned the money laundering trial of cryptocurrency exchange Binance and two executives, Tigran Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla, to May 13.
The trial, initially set to resume on May 2, was postponed after Anjarwalla, a British Kenyan, fled to Kenya.
Additionally, the court moved a related tax evasion trial to May 17 due to Binance not being properly served with the charges.
The executives face allegations of laundering over $35 million and failing to register with the Federal Inland Revenue Service for tax purposes.
Binance, which was unrepresented in court, says it is cooperating with Nigerian authorities especially the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
