The House of Representatives has revealed that the scarcity of fuel that has left most parts of the country handicapped is artificial.
It directed regulatory Agencies in charge to clamp down on hoarders of the product.
This was disclosed by Chairman, Petroleum Downstream, Ikenga Ugochinyere at a joint news conference in Abuja alongside his counterpart from the Petroleum Midstream Committee, Henry Okojie.
They however offered assurances that the long queues at filling stations in the country, will soon fizzle out soon.
Confirming the availability of 1.5 billion liters which can last for 30 days, the lawmakers said they had received assurances from the regulators in the distribution value chain that these bottlenecks have been cleared.
