The Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General of Rivers State, Zacchaeus Adangor has rejected his redeployment as Commissioner for Special Duties.
Zacchaeus, in a letter addressed to the Secretary to the Rivers State government also tendered his resignation from the state executive council.
Zacchaeus, a strong ally of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike in his resignation letter, accused Governor Siminalayi Fubara of interfering with the performance of his duties as Attorney General of the state.
Aside from Zacchaeus, Fubara had also redeployed another Wike ally, Isaac Kamalu from the Ministry of Finance to the Ministry of Employment Generation and Economic Empowerment.
Both Adangor and Kamalu were among nine commissioners who resigned from Fubara’s cabinet following a protracted conflict between former Governor Wike and his successor, Fubara.
It is also unclear if one of Wike’s loyalists, Emeka Woke, who held the office of the Commissioner for Special Duties before now has been sacked.
