The leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organization Afenifere, Reuben Fasoranti, has asked President Bola Tinubu to lead efforts to amend the constitution to devolve more powers to the states for a more equitable federalism.

This demand for restructuring is part of a list of demands made to President Bola Tinubu when Fasoranti led a delegation to greet him at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

He also urged Tinubu to address infrastructure issues in the South-West region, including the reconstruction of major roads and a potential rail link between Lagos and Abuja as a legacy project.

On security and employment, Afenifere supported the campaign for state police and equity in the command structures and recruitment of federal security agencies.

He also appealed for federal capital projects to prioritize job creation, including a proposal for a national apprenticeship training system to engage youths.
