The Federal Road Safety Corps says investigation has commenced into the accident that led to the death of 13 persons at Obajana Market along Obajana-Lokoja Road on Sunday night.
The Corps Marshal, FRSC, Dauda Biu, said the prosecution of the drivers using the provisions of the National Road Traffic Regulations 2012 would send a strong cautionary signal to motorists.
The FRSC had earlier confirmed the death of 13 persons and injury to two persons in the accident involving a commercial bus and an articulated cement truck.
Kogi FRSC Sector Commander, Samuel Oyedeji had during the confirmation expressed concerns that no hospital in Kogi agreed to take the burnt bodies for keep, which might force the authorities to give them a massive burial if no relation came around.
