The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are in talks with Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro over a new contract as they battle to retain him amidst interest from abroad.
Veonewsng gathered that the NFF led by Ibrahim Gusau were weighing the idea of offering the same €50,000 month to Peseiro which he received when he led the team to second place finish at the just concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Ivory Coast.
It is however unclear if the former Saudi Arabia and Venezuela coach would take the offer, having hinted that he had received at least seven offers from different national teams and clubs and he intends to decide on his next job in the coming days.
“I told everyone to come back at the end of the month. What is certain is that I want to continue coaching, and I need to choose wisely,” Peseiro said.
