Lagos State Police Command says the force has reactivated its tracking device to checkmate kidnap and one-chance incidents in the state
The Commissioner of Police, Ayoade Fayoade, speaking against the backdrop of concerns raised by residents about such incidents recorded in parts of the state, noted that officers of the force have identified kidnap-prone areas like Igbogbo, Ijede, water fronts, Idimu among others.
Fayoade explained that the mapped out areas will experience improved security presence with reactivated tracking devices to checkmate and neutralise criminals and ensure the safety of victims without paying ransom.
The CP said that the state police command was particularly working with its Ogun counterpart and sister security agencies in organising joint patrols in the inter-border operations, to check crime in the border areas.
