The Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources has begun eviction of squatters under the Ijora Causeway Bridge.
A tweet by the Commissioner, Tokunbo Wahab on X, said the dislodgement of the illegal squatters and clearing up the area followed an initial five-day quit notice issued by the Ministry.
He insisted that the operation led by the Special Intervention Squad on the Restoration of the Lagos Badagry Rail Corridor Clean-Up led ACP Bayo Sulaiman would not be deterred having received the full backing of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
