Ondo State government has sworn in Olaide Adelami, a former Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, as the new Deputy Governor of Ondo State.
The State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa speaking during the swearing-in ceremony, said the dissolution of the cabinet inherited from the late governor, Rotimi Akeredolu was not to witch-hunt but to reset the trajectory of the state for efficiency.
According to him, government needs to be less encumbered by politicking and pave way for interested individuals to pursue their aspirations while simultaneously guaranteeing continued enjoyment of good governance to the people.
The governor charged his deputy to serve diligently and patriotically, displaying high level of transparency, open and accountable leadership while hammering that his administration has zero tolerance for corruption.
On his part, Adelami promised to justify the confidence reposed in him, by brining his wealth of experience to bear for the utmost development of the state.
