The presidential candidate of the Peoples democratic party in the 2023 general election and former vice president Atiku Abubakar has expressed disappointment at the level of laxity displayed by President Bola Tinubu in the face of heightened insecurity in the country.
Atiku via X, recounted various kidnapping cases recorded in different parts of the nation, wondering why the President has failed to take decisive action on the matter.
According to the former vice president, Tinubu is playing fiddle while Nigeria is drowning in the ocean of insecurity, calling on the president to quit if he cannot tackle Nigeria’s security issues and other challenges.
His comment follows series of kidnap cases including the death of a nursing mother and grandmother in Abuja for failing to pay N90m ransom and two monarchs in Ekiti, among others
