The Lagos governorship candidate of the Labour Party in 2023, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has paid back a debt owed by his wife, Ify, hours after receiving backlash on social media.

An X User known as Chike Jones had called out Ify for refusing to pay him his salary for eight months while working on the couple’s Afroscientric.com project.

The claim had trended and enraged a number of X Users.

Subsequently, Jones provided an update on the situation stating that Rhodes-Vivour contacted him and settled the debt.
