The 2023 Nasarawa State governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party, David Ombugadu, has called for calm and unity among his supporters following the Supreme Court verdict upholding Governor Abdullahi Sule’s election victory.
In a statement after the verdict, Ombugadu admitted his disappointment with the verdict of the apex court but praised his supporters’ commitment to the democratic process and progressive ideals.
“Though the court’s verdict did not align with our expectations, let us remember that our shared values and dedication to the betterment of Nasarawa State remain steadfast. I am grateful for the trust and belief you placed in me throughout this journey. Your support has been a source of strength, and I am honored to have had such dedicated supporters by my side.
The PDP candidate stressed the need to keep building unity across Nasarawa in the wake of the court loss.
He promised his backers that the shared vision for an improved state remains strong despite the Supreme Court setback.
