Chief of army staff, LT. General Taoreed Lagbaja has condemned the verbal attacks on Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu over the arrest of a soldier caught riding a motorcycle on one-way.
Speaking to journalists today, Lagbaja who clarified that some of the soldiers criticizing Sanwo-olu did not belong to the Nigerian army, said one person had been apprehended.
Lagbaja said the army was determined to ensure it’s officers maintain high level discipline and not get involved in politics.
Recall governor Sanwo-olu had last week led the arrest of motorcyclists plying one-way routes, when a soldier was arrested in the process eliciting mixed reaction from the public.
