A former Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen, has approached the Court of Appeal seeking to set aside a judgment barring her from public office.
Justice Peter Kekemeke of the federal Capital Territory High Court had last month barred Tallen in a case filed by the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA over her alleged disparaging remarks about an earlier court judgment.
Tallen prayed the Appeal Court to set aside the ruling, arguing it was a miscarriage of justice.
The former Deputy Governor of Plateau also prayed the appellate court to, among other reliefs, dismiss the suit and set aside the decision of the court below.
