Governors of the North-Central region have donated N100 million to procure aid for victims of the deadly attacks in Bokkos and Barkin Ladi which claimed about 200 lives in Plateau.
The Governors comprising Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, Hyacinth Alia of Benue, and Umaru Bago of Niger said they were in Jos to sympathise with the people and encourage Governor Caleb Mutfwang.
But, Governors Yahaya Bello of Kogi and AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq of Kwara were absent without any stated reason.
Addressing newsmen after the meeting, Governor Sule said the geopolitical zone was planning a North Central Summit where the root cause of the attacks in Plateau would be discussed alongside the security of member states.
Recall that a Security Expert based in Plateau, Toyin Adesina insisted that the perpetrators were linked to the Islamic State of West Africa Province.
