Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde, has given the staff of office to the 21st Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye.
The Governor who noted that the role of a monarch is pivotal in promoting peace appealed to other ruling families that contested with Oba Ghandi Afolabi to sheath their sword and withdraw their court cases before the end of the week.
According to the Governor, legal battles will only foster disunity and retrogression, warning that he may be forced to join the suit with the state might if the concerned person fails to embrace peace.
Makinde while congratulating the new monarch urged him to work for the unity of the town, the state and the state traditional council as a whole.
