Lagos state government has promised to sustain its fight against domestic and sexual violence in state, through practical and pragmatic approach to enlightenment and implementation of extent laws.
In a statement by the executive Secretary of Lagos Domestic and sexual violence agency, Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, the state was been ranked No. 1 In Prevention, Response to sexual and gender-based violence, because of its resolve to ensure that the state is free from sexual predators at all levels.
According to her, the state government has embarked on series of campaigns to enlighten residents on the dangers of sexual violence and related offences with strict measures in place to monitor and mete out appropriate punishment to sexual offenders.
The DSVA boss however appealed to residents to cooperate with the agency by providing prompt and verified information in cases of sexual violation to aid the agency in apprehending offenders as stipulated by the law.
