Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) has suspended operations at one of its emergency clinics in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, following a violent incident where a patient was shot and killed by gunmen.
The armed men pulled out a critically ill patient from the Turgeau Emergency Center, an MSF ambulance, assaulted him and fatally shot him before feeling the scene.
MSF’s Haiti mission head,Benoit Vasseur said the clinic would be shut as the group could not accept such attack on its ambulances and also needed time to conduct a security analysis.
However, MSF’s other clinics in Port-au-Prince will continue operations.
