The federal government has unveiled plans to re-orientate Nigerians on the need to embrace the tenets and values of the country, to ensure that citizens understand and uphold the joint aspiration of the government, in order to protect and project the goodness of the nation.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Idris Malagi, said this today during a televised interview, stressing that there is a gap in trust and communication between the people and the government, emphasizing the need to bridge the gap and reunite the people and the government on all sides.
Reacting to the recent wave of political unrest in River state, the minister argued that it was unfair to finger President Tinubu in the crisis, insisting that the fact that some of the actors in the crisis are in the cabinet of President Bola Tinubu does not mean the situation was engineered by the All-Progressives Congress (APC) government.
Malagi said there have been political situations in other states like Ondo and the President had intervened to resolve the crisis even amongst the same party members, noting that the role of the President is to ensure peace on all side.
