The Minister of Sports Development, John Enoh has charged Nigeria Football Federation to be holistic in the preparation for AFCON 2023, stating that the government and Nigerians will not be pleased with a substandard performance.
Enoh said this at a high-level meeting with the leadership of the Federation and Coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, advocating comprehensive roadmap to ensure optimal preparations and success for the Eagles at the highly anticipated tournament.
According to the minister, the Federal government is counting on the federation and the national team to restore confidence in Nigerian football, noting that all hands must be on deck to achieve such an agenda.
Nigerian Super Eagles will kick off their AFCON camping with a game against Equatorial Guinea on 14 January.
