Operatives of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) today impounded 15 tankers parked indiscriminately along 2nd Rainbow down to Mile 2 Bridge, Oshodi -Apapa Expressway, Lagos.
According to the Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of LASTMA, Taofiq Adebayo, the tankers were impounded inside Mile 2 Estates following complaints that they had become a major obstruction to motorists exiting the Estates.
Adebayo quoted the LASTMA Director of Operations, Peter Gbejemede as saying that the enforcement exercise facilitated by the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Transportation, Sola Giwa, would be continuous until zero tolerance is achieved on illegal/ indiscriminate parking across the State.
