Troops of the Nigerian Army has confirmed the arrest of some criminal elements in Rimin Zayam village in Toro, Bokkos and Riyom local government area of Bauchi State in connection to the killing of one Mobile Police personnel and other criminal activities.
In a statement today, the Nigerian army said the troops conducted raid operations at Kambal and Hurti villages in Bokkos local government and arrested Yakubu Saidu and Nasiru Mohammed, recovered items 233 rounds of 7.62mm special, one Techno mobile phone, one Itel mobile phone, and one motorcycle among others.
Similarly, troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) have arrested six suspected bandits in local government areas of Plateau State in connection with the attack on farmers at Mai Hakorin Gold village.
According to the statement, Ibrahim Mohammed, Salisu Abdullahi, and Idris Abdullahi were quizzed by troops for the attack on the farmers while David Emmanuel, Moses Dalyop, and Gabriel Davou – were arrested over murder of a commercial motorcyclist Abdulkarim Saidu at Shonong village.
The army restated its commitment to the safety of the people, appealing to residents for collaboration and timely supply of intelligence to cripple stemming nefarious acts.
