Rwanda has now joined the list of African Countries to introduce visa-free travel for all Africans, following its approval by President Paul Kagame.
Kagame explained that the move was aimed at encouraging the continent’s middle class to take advantage of Africa’s growing tourism market.
Rwanda has been trying to boost it’s tourism potentials, signing deals with English Club, Arsenal and Bundesliga side, Bayern Munich to help promote Rwanda.
Once implemented, Rwanda would join Seychelles, The Gambia and Benin, as the only African countries that provide visa-free entry for all African citizens.
Earlier this week, Kenya’s President, William Ruto announced that the country would end visa requirements to all African visitors by 2024.
