River state Governor Siminalayi Fubara has told 24 state lawmakers to give cogent reasons for their move to impeach him.

Hours after the Assembly complex was burnt, some 24 lawmakers led by Speaker, Martin Amaewhule suspended house leader, Edison Ehie and served an impeachment notice on Fubara

Reacting, Fubara, told thousands of youths at the government house gate that he was not scared about impeachment but such action had to be properly explained and justified.

He alleged further that some compromised police officers shot live bullets at him with the intention to kill while he visited to assess the extent of damages done in the aftermath of the bombing of the State House of Assembly complex by some hoodlums.
