Minister of the federal capital territory, Nyesome Wike has denied reports of decamping to the All-progressive congress, describing such reports as unfounded and baseless.

Wike said this during an interview following the supreme court judgement that affirmed the victory of president Bola Tinubu as the February 23, general election, stating that his appearance in the court was not on party basis but as a patriotic Nigerian interested in the growth of the nation.

According to him, the judgement puts an end to all legal battles, calling on the opposition to quit chasing shadows and cooperate with the Tinubu administration, to catapult Nigeria to its rightful place in the comity of nations.

Earlier, the chief of staff to the president, Femi Gbajabiamila who applauded the judicial system said the judgement is a testament of the neutrality and fairness of the judiciary, promising that the Tinubu administration will leave no stone unturned in transforming the fortunes of Nigeria.
