Hello,

I have decided to bring this issue to the public to call attention to my ongoing experience with the Nigeria High Commission in London, United Kingdom because of the absurdity that reigns supreme with respect to the procurement of Nigerian international passports by Nigerian citizens.I am Adeniyi Akindayomi, a Nigerian in the United Kingdom. I applied for my Nigerian International Passport renewal in May 2023, paid $130, and got a biodata capture appointment for 4th August 2023. After waiting in line for six hours at the Nigeria High Commission in London, I was told to go and come back one week after because there was a data access challenge that could not be resolved. Specifically, I was told that my international passport was not activated (I have traveled to many countries with this passport since I got it in 2018).

I made a second journey to the High Commission on 11th August 2023 and was attended to after waiting for about four hours. My application details are stated below:

File Number: 19208909
Enrolment ID: 477000681700
Receipt Number:5232545497
Old Passport Number: A09918906

I have made several attempts to check for information on my passport renewal application but everyone at the Nigeria High Commission conveniently ignored my enquiries. Specifically, I sent emails on the 26th and 28th of September 2023, and several follow-up emails on the 3rd, 5th, and 11th of October 2023. To date, nothing has happened to my inquiry. I have attached evidence of the referenced application to this email.
