Lagos Government Seals Alaba International Market for Unhygienic Practices

Lagos state government has sealed up the Alaba international market, Ojo for poor waste disposal practices, failure to pay their waste bills and gross environmental sanitation offences.

Commissioner for environment Tokunbo Wahab who shared the information via x noted that the state is out to erase unhygienic practices in public spaces and uphold the safety and health of residents.

While on a routine compliance assessment of some sealed facilities last night, the commissioner of environment, Tokunbo wahab and general manager LASEPA, Tunde Ajayi discovered that kingfisher, a restaurant at Lekki had broken the government seals and were running operations at full scale.

The governor’s monitoring team provided security backup, and two managers were arrested at about 12:30 in the morning.

They will be charged to court today and face the maximum consequence of their actions.
