U.S. President Joe Biden Biden would ask the Congress today to approve extra funding for Israel and Ukraine, whom he described as critical partner and an investment that will yield security results in the future.

Biden said this during a televised interview, stressing the urgency of getting relief to Palestinian civilians in Gaza who lack food, water and medicine, saying that Palestinians want to live in peace.

Meanwhile, Israel appeared to be getting closer to a full-scale invasion of Gaza, after Israeli military has massed troops and equipment near the Gaza border.

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said the consultations continues on every side but the fight against terrorism must be won for lasting peace to reign in the region.

Israel has pounded Gaza with air strikes and put the enclave’s 2.3 million people under siege after Hamas’s gunmen rampaged through Israeli towns on October 7, killing 1,400 Israelis and taking scores of hostages.
