The minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike has promised to facilitate an upgrade in the welfare of health workers in Abuja through interventions and government assistance.

Wike said this during a session with resident doctors led by the chairman of the association fct chapter, Rahman Olayinka who decried the poor welfare packages for doctors, while appealing for a review by the minister.

Responding, Wike urged the doctors to exercise patience while noting that he would consult necessary offices to work out an improved welfare package

Meanwhile, the minister also has threatened to shut down illegal motor parks operating in the capital city Abuja over rising ‘one-chance’ robbery in the city, stating that his office will ensure the security of residents by working with all stakeholders to wipe out criminals.
