Sacked Adamawa North Senator, Elisha Abbo, says the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio swore by his mother’s gave that he had nothing to do with the nullification of his election as Senator.
He stated this in a television interview on Tuesday night where he also apologised to Akpabio.
Recall the Abuja division of the Court of Appeal, on Monday, nullified Abbo’s election.
The court subsequently declared the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Amos Yohanna, as the winner of the February 25 senatorial election.
Aggrieved by the ruling, Abbo had linked his removal to Akpabio, claiming that the Senate President was after those who worked against his emergence.
