The senate resumed Plenary today with the screening of Ola Olukoyede and Muhammad Hammajoda, nominees of President Bola Tinubu as Chairman and Secretary of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), respectively.

The President had yesterday written to the upper chamber to confirm their nomination as stipulated by law after he appointed them as chair and secretary to the commission on October 12.

Recall on June 14, 2023, the President suspended Abdulrasheed Bawa indefinitely as the anti-graft agency boss, to allow for proper investigation into his conduct while in office.
