The Lagos State Government has indicated plans to shut down bars, churches, clubs, mosques, and companies that are causing environmental disturbances in the state.

This was disclosed by the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, shortly after he met newly appointed General Manager of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), Babatunde Ajayi, and other directors in the agency.

According to the commissioner, the move is in compliance with the Lagos State Environmental Management Protection Law and in line with accepted international best practices.
