Chelsea says both Carney Chukwuemeka and Trevoh Chalobah have suffered setbacks in their recovery from injuries in a blow to manager Mauricio Pochettino.

In a statement today, the club confirmed that Defender Trevoh Chalobah and midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka will now go under further review before continuing their rehabilitation at Cobham with the club’s medical staff.

Chukwuemeka has made an impressive start to the season before succumbing to a knee injury against West Ham and hasn’t featured since.

Meanwhile Chalobah, hasn’t played at all this season and is still recovering from a thigh injury and Chelsea are likely to be without Reece James for Saturday’s London derby against Arsenal.
