U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived back in Israel today following a whirlwind tour of six Arab countries in the region aimed at preventing the war with Hamas from erupting into a broader regional conflict.

America’s top diplomat crisscrossed the Middle East over the last four days, discussing with leaders in the Islamic region on a pathway to contain the Isreali-Hamas conflict from spreading beyond Gaza.

Meanwhile, Iran Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani claims United States is already heavily involved in the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians and must be held to account.

According to Kanaani, the U.S. is bolstering its firepower in the Middle East in response to war between its ally Israel and the Iranian-backed Palestinian militants Hamas amid fears of regional spill over.

Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the newest U.S. aircraft carrier – also the world’s largest – is already in the eastern Mediterranean although not a provocation but a deterrence mission.
