Lagos state government has sealed Mile 12 International Market and Owode Onirin market along Ikorodu Road in Kosofe Local government for indiscriminate dumping and burning of refuse among others.

Acting on the directives of Commissioner for Environment, Tokunbo Wahab, Enforcement operatives from LAWMA and Kick against indiscipline in a joint operation today, sealed up the Markets for filthy environment, blocked and littered drainages, menace of illegal and Indiscriminate parking.

The operatives also stated abandonment of trucks on the major road thereby impeding free flow of traffic as another reason for sealing up the markets.

Recall the Commissioner for Environment, Tokunbo Wahab, had embarked on inspection exercise to public spaces in the state, to reemphasis the importance of hygiene, while imposing sanctions on erring outlets.
