Chairman body of benchers, justice Mary Peter-Odili says the legal profession needs to revisit its foundation and re-examine its tenet to tackle decay that is bedeviling its activities.

Odili said this at this month’s call to the bar ceremony, congratulating the new wigs for making it through the process of learning to join the industry of legal representatives in Nigeria.

According to her, the laws that bind the profession are quickly becoming washed away as the judiciary has turned its attention from fairness and justice delivery to profit making.

She however charges the new wigs to make it a duty to learn from icons in the profession who defiled the odds to beam the light of justice on the society.
