Lagos State Governor Babajide sanwo-olu has pledged unflinching support for the Nigerian army especially in the fight against insecurity and non-state actors seeking to destabilize the Nigerian state.

Sanwo-olu said this today during a Courtesy Visit today by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, stating that the security of the nation is a joint duty that must not be negelected.

On his part, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Taoreed Lagbaja lauded the governor for his giant strides in the state, while noting that the army will launch a new operation called clean sweep to supervise the clearance of the unexploded ordinance (UXO) at the site of the 2002 Ikeja Cantonment Bomb explosion and other major security activities.

Lagbaja also appealed to the governor, to sustain his cordial relationship with the force, for consolidation on past gains
