The Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC Limited has denied reports of purported increase in pump prices.

Reports earlier emerged that the landing cost of the Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol, jumped from N651/litre to N720/litre, fueling speculations that the pump price of the petroleum product may skyrocket in the next few days.

However, reacting to the report, the company’s management, in a statement shared on social media, denied the report, saying there was no intention for any increment.

The company also urged Nigerians to buy the best-quality products at the most affordable prices.
