The house of representatives has vowed to take a thorough look at the rising level of insecurity in Nigeria and proscribe a proactive approach to tackle the challenges headlonng.

Speaking during the plenary today, the Majority Leader of House, Alhassan Ado Doguwa stated that the lawmakers must not abandon security to the federal government alone but must carry out their duties of oversight where necessary.

According to him, insecurity will continue to thrive if the different arms and tiers of government continue to employ propaganda, hoping the menace will end without stiff resistance.

Meanwhile, the deputy speaker of the house, Benjamin Kalu promised that the series of laws and oversights to that effect will be passed, to lay stable ground work for a solid security architecture.
