The senate resumes plenary today with a duty to screen the three new ministerial candidates nominated by President Bola Tinubu.

The nominees to be screened today are Balarabe Abbas Lawal from Kaduna State, Jamila Bio Ibrahim from Kwara State and Ayodele Olawande from Ondo State.

The President of the senate, Godswill Akpabio, yesterday, read a letter from the President requesting the confirmation of three additional ministerial nominees.

Recall the Senate back in August screened and confirmed 45 ministerial nominees and rejected three of them, including former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai among others.
