The National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has set up a nine man committee to resolve the imbroglio in Ondo State over the move by the House of Assembly to impeach Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa over alleged gross misconduct.
The National chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje in Abuja, announced the set up of a nine-man committee led by immediate past Katsina Governor Bello Masari.
The committee is tasked with peaceful reconciliation of all parties involved.
The intervention is coming on the heels of an order by Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja restraining the Ondo House of Assembly from impeaching Aiyedatiwa as well as barring Governor Rotimi Akeredolu from nominating a new deputy Governor.
