SouthEast Leaders Meet in Imo, Plot Ways to Collaborate, Boost Economy, Security Others

Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma has described the series of circumstances bedeviling the southeast as a product of neglect and weakness by leaders at different levels.

Uzodinma said this during the 2023 southeast summit on economy and sustainability, stating that the southeast has abandoned its unique identity to chase shadows.

He therefore called on leaders in the region to wake up to their responsibilities on all fronts, noting that actions taken at these critical times will determine the survival and success of the region.

Uzodinma also charged indigens of the region to change the current narrative, portraying them as destructive for posterity sake.

The summit is a platform organized by leaders of the region with governors of southeast states, traditional rulers and other stakeholders present
