Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has warned traders and residents around areas of the red rail project to halt business activities around the project within two days.

The governor said this today during an on the spot assessment to the agege area of the project, insisting that trading along the rail line is not ideal.

According to him, the project is mainly to ease transportation, stating that the need to clear the area of traffic is to preserve lives and properties, warning that flouring government order will attract stiff sanctions.

The governor in the past few days has embarked on a tour round the state, to assess the level of work done in certain areas, while promising to ensure top class execution of projects.
