Israel Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has told the UN General Assembly (UNGA), that he is confident that peace between Israel and Saudi Arabia will truly create a new Middle East.
Both countries have no official bilateral relations, but the two countries have been working together covertly on security issues for some time.
Now, Netanyahu and Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman have confirmed that talks are underway to formalize a peace agreement.
“There’s no question: The Abraham Accords heralded the dawn of a new age of peace,” he said. “I believe we’re on the cusp of a more dramatic breakthrough: A historic peace between Israel and Saudi Arabia.”
