The Osun State Government has warned an Ibadan-based lawyer, Mutalubi Adebayo, SAN, to drop his quest to drag the government before a court over unpaid allowances of judges working in the state.

Earlier today, the lawyer had issued a 10-day ultimatum to theGovernor, to pay arrears of allowances owed retired and serving judges in the state or face a legal action.

Reacting, the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, said Adebayo was meddling with government activities while describing his action as a misrepresentation and misinterpretation of employment relationship between employees and the employer.

He however stated that claims from the lawyer referred to allowances owed judges under the previous administration while stating that Governor Adeleke has been sincere with offsetting outstanding salaries owed by previous administration.
