Ogun Police Confirm Four Dead, Seven Arrested Following Cult Clash in Sagamu

Ogun state police command has confirmed the death of Four persons and the arrest of seven others following a cult clash in Sagamu, Sagamu Local Government Area of the state. 

The spokesman of the Command, Omolola Odutola said the force received information of a cult clash, swiftly mobilised to contain the situation and apprehend the cultists, with seven suspected arrested, and recovery of a firearm, three live cartridges was made.

According to him, Asaiye Omolaja, Azeez Nofiu, Mathew Adewale was apprehended with one Bolaji Ogunkemaya who was found with the four deceased persons in the same room where the killings occurred.

He further stated that Bolaji Ogunkemaya provided critical information, stating that their leader, known as Azubuike aka Better, had been arrested by the Area Commander a fortnight ago.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Alamutu Abiodun, has visited Sagamu to assess the situation and profile the suspects apprehended, while declaring a zero-tolerance policy towards senseless killings.
