River State Government Vows to Eradicate Cultism, Charges Traditional Leaders on Security Consciousness

Rivers state governor, Siminalaye Fubara has warned cultists in the state to desist from engaging in nefarious acts, promising to rid the state of cultism and all criminal activities.

He said this at the commissioning of a road project in Obio-Akpor local government, calling on traditional rulers in the state to cooperate with security operatives or face sanctions from the government.

Fubara also charged security operatives to be proactive and collaborate with sister agencies in enforcing the rule of law and displacing criminal masterminds from the state.

He also promised to prioritize the welfare of residents with policies and programs that facilitates good standard of living.
