The coordinating minister of health and social welfare, Muhammad Ali Pate, has commended Nigerian health workers for their resilience in the face of challenges, including kidnappings and other forms of insecurity across the country.

Pate said this today in a televised interview, stating that all ministries and agencies must collaborate in the face of new infections and diseases as a result of lifestyle change, weather situation among other factors.

According to him, the Tinibu administration has plans to upgrade the health exposure in the country and create an enabling environment to promote travel tourism and top-class medical structure

He stated that the ministry would improve the effectiveness of health governance in Nigeria and minimise political interference, adding that there is a lot of potential for improvement in healthcare deliverables for Nigerians.

Professor Pate’s comments follow his unveiling of the health ministry’s four-point agenda in Abuja on Saturday aimed at ensuring that the sector delivers improved healthcare to Nigerians.
